Little Things

These photos were taken in December of 2023. It was my first time not being home during the Christmas time and I was walking around New York City taking in the holiday spirit around me. I felt this sort of sadness while walking around. I realized that I was growing up. This is a scary realization for a teenager that you are no longer surrounded by the safety net carefully crafted by your parents. In this piece of work, I wanted to capture the little things that can have a double meaning as it includes kids, but also that it's the little things that we have to appreciate the most.

Last Hug

In the past year, I have realized the importance of a hug. It's a moment of intimacy you share with a person for a short time. You hear each other's heartbeats and for just one moment you are in sync, your bodies are. Hugs have become the way I show appreciation to a person. I love to hug people I care about whenever I see them because you never know when it's the last one.
